Sadly, though, I don't see this being implemented for at least five years. At least block level content is allowed inside of anchors now... if only a similar solution was available for list items. It keeps being rejected for very reasonable performance reasons (it completely breaks the optimizations browsers have in place for matching selectors to content as the page loads), but eventually it'll show up because it's just too damned useful.
